Ongoing call - QUick Access Screening Time (QUAST) at SPB/SFX

European XFEL is pleased to launch QUAST, a broad-brush approach to sample screening and rapid access data collection at SPB/SFX.
In addition to the regular periodic calls for full experimental proposals for the SPB/SFX instrument, together with the sample environment and characterisation (SEC) group, an ongoing call, QUick Access Screening Time (QUAST) is open for targeted screening and data completion.

The 20th Call for user experiments at the FERMI FEL-1 and FEL-2 free-electron laser facilities, TeraFERMI, CITIUS and T-ReX laboratories, located at Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A., is now open.
Deadline June 3rd, 2026 at 23:59 (CET).

We would like to inform you that FERMI can provide seeded FEL pulses, with tunable photon energy and polarization, up to about 400 eV. We also remind you that seeded FEL pulses, with reduced pulse energy, are available in the 400-900 eV photon energy range with tunable elliptical polarization. The efficient use of such pulses depends on the specific beamline, should you be interested in these options, please contact the beamline scientist and fermi.usersupport@elettra.eu for more information.

Call for LTP and BAG proposals will be open mid-June 2026.

Deadline will be around 15 July 2026.

The deadline for proposal submission for 2027-I is 1 September 2026, 23:59 (CET).

Deadlines for PETRA III call for regular proposals are usually 1 March and 1 September.

Next Call for Proposals will be issued in Summer 2026.
