The 20th Call for user experiments at the FERMI FEL-1 and FEL-2 free-electron laser facilities, TeraFERMI, CITIUS and T-ReX laboratories, located at Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A., is now open.
Deadline December 1st, 2026 at 23:59 (CET).

Please note: the proposals selected under the present call for the FEL beamlines are expected to be scheduled from late 2027 onwards.

We would like to inform you that FERMI can provide seeded FEL pulses, with tunable photon energy and polarization, up to about 400 eV. We also remind you that seeded FEL pulses, with reduced pulse energy, are available in the 400-900 eV photon energy range with tunable elliptical polarization. The efficient use of such pulses depends on the specific beamline, should you be interested in these options, please contact the beamline scientist and fermi.usersupport@elettra.eu for more information.

The deadline for proposal submission for 2027-II is 1 March 2027, 23:59 (CET).

We invite you to submit applications for access to the SOLARIS Centre research facilities. Access to SOLARIS is free of charge for any scientists who carries out non-commercial research. The international commission decides on the allocation of beamtime.
\r\nBeamtime is split into two 6-months allocation periods corresponding to spring and autumn calls for proposals.
\r\nThe spring call (deadline for proposal submission: 1st of April) is for experiments to be performed from September of the same year till February the following year.
\r\nThe autumn call (deadline for proposal submission: 1st of October) is for experiments to be performed from March till August of the following year.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Next call for proposals will be open in Spring 2027. The deadline for submitting proposals is the 1th of April.<\/p>
