NOTOS is a hard X-ray beamline devoted to X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and instrumentation tests.

NOTOS aims to cover specific needs of several scientific disciplines such as chemistry, catalysis, energy science, nanomaterials, condensed matter and environmental science, by providing two experimental endstations for the study of the electronic structure, short (XAS) and long range order (XRD): (i) a multipurpose station consisting of a wide table that allows preset or custom sample setups and (ii) a two-circle diffractometer station. Both stations allow the combination of XAS (in transmission and fluorescence modes) and XRD.
