DEIMOS is a beamline dedicated to linear and circular dichroic measurements (XMCD: for X-ray Circular Magnetic Dichroism), in the soft X-ray energy range, of magnetic and non-magnetic samples. It has been optimized to provide high beam stability and sample sensitivity with very fast switching rate of the polarisation. Moreover, it offers many in situ sample preparation tools in order to prepare the surfaces before the measurements: AES, LEED, STM, evaporation chambers, in situ glove box, etc...
